PROBLEM

People often struggle to find others with similar interests or discover services and events in their immediate area. There’s a need for an app that helps users easily connect and explore local opportunities based on shared interests and location. Buzzly fills this gap by focusing on local discovery — helping users find people, groups, and events around them.

Goal

Design a clean, memorable brand identity and an intuitive mobile app experience that makes it easy for users to discover people, services, groups, and events nearby — all based on shared interests and location.

BRANDING

Logo

Created a minimalist wordmark logo: “Buzzly” with ripple effects from the B to represent movement and connection

color

The Buzzly app uses a minimalist and modern color palette designed to evoke clarity, trust, and simplicity. The combination of cool greys and shades of blue helps create a calm, intuitive experience while ensuring visual hierarchy and accessibility across components.

typograpgy

Noto Sans is designed to maintain visual harmony across languages, it supports a wide range of scripts and characters, making it ideal for global, inclusive applications. Its balanced proportions and neutral style gives it a friendly yet professional look — perfect for digital interfaces where clarity and accessibility matter.

icons

Icons are used functionally, not decoratively — to guide users through actions, reinforce clarity in navigation, and reduce cognitive load.

UX/UI DESIGN

Design system

The Buzzly design system is a cohesive collection of reusable components, styles, and UI patterns that ensure visual consistency and scalability across the entire app experience. It includes a clean typographic hierarchy, a soft blue-grey color palette, intuitive spacing rules, and modular components like buttons, cards, badges, and input fields—making it easy to maintain clarity while adapting to new features as the app grows.

ux/ui

The app was designed to feel intuitive and familiar while offering something unique. With no in-app chat, the focus was on clean discovery flows and seamless contact sharing. Every screen is built around clarity, minimal friction, and user autonomy.

A quick, simple flow that gets users set up in under a minute — from account creation to profile setup and discovery preferences.

A flexible search experience with location-aware browsing and keyword filters to help users find people, services, or groups nearby.

Core utility screens including profile, settings, and token-based visibility upgrades.

APP STORE

Designed to quickly communicate the app’s purpose, benefits, and core features at a glance. The screenshots use simple headlines, focused visuals, and consistent styling to attract and convert new users browsing the store.

website

A clean one-page landing site with a focus on clarity and conversion. It introduces the app, highlights its core use cases, and invites users to download — all while staying visually aligned with the in-app design system. Additional support pages like Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and How It Works ensure transparency and help onboard new users with ease.
